Neighbors has been dropped by Channel 5, putting the long-running Australian drama’s future under danger.
The UK network declared on Sunday it would quit showing the program in the not so distant future, subsequent to circulating it for over 10 years.
Network 10, the Australian TV station that communicates the show, said it would search for another accomplice to work with to keep it on air.
It denied shooting of the show, which started in 1985, was being stopped.
The telecaster added it was focused on moving the show along assuming another telecom accomplice could be found.
Set and recorded in Melbourne, Neighbors was first transmission in Australia in 1985 and sent off on BBC One every year after the fact.
