Saudi Arabia has welcomed US President Joe Biden’s announcement of the killing of terrorist al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.

The Saudi Press Agency reported this information on the statement of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said al-Zawahiri was considered one of the leaders of terrorism.

It was under his leadership that heinous terrorist operations were planned and executed in the United States, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

He is responsible for killing thousands of innocent people of different races and religions, including Saudi citizens.

Saudi Arabia announced to strengthen cooperation in coordinated international efforts to fight and eliminate terrorism, the statement said.

Also, Saudi Arabia called on all countries of the world to cooperate in this framework to protect innocent people from terrorist organizations.

Meanwhile, the Taliban condemned the killing of Al Qaeda chief in the US drone strike in Kabul.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement that the US attack was a violation

of international principles and the 2020 agreement on the withdrawal of US troops.

The Taliban government strongly condemned it.
