Watford hold chats with Roy Hodgson over administrative opportunity

Hodgson has overseen 16 clubs and four senior public groups in eight nations during his vocation

Previous England supervisor Roy Hodgson has addressed Watford about their administrative opening.

The Hornets are quick to make a quick arrangement following Claudio Ranieri’s excusal on Monday with the club in the Premier League’s last three.

Hodgson, 74, has been out of the game since leaving Crystal Palace toward the finish of last season.

At that point, he said he needed to have some time off from the game yet didn’t preclude a return sooner or later.

  • Watford need to give Ranieri’s substitution however much time as could reasonably be expected to work with the group before a pivotal Premier League outing to individual strugglers Burnley on 5 February.
  • The Pozzo family own the Vicarage Road side and Hodgson worked for them when he had a short spell accountable for Udinese.

Hodgson is the most established man to oversee in the Premier League and had been in control at Palace from September 2017 until his flight.

He supplanted Frank de Boer as chief with the Eagles lower part of the Premier League after they had lost their initial four matches of the 2017-18 season without scoring an objective.

In spite of losing his initial three games in control, he directed Palace to eleventh in the table, while they completed twelfth, fourteenth and fourteenth in resulting seasons.
